AI strategy needs an architecture for action
I help leaders and architects turn AI ambitions into decisions they can act on: what the system should do, what authority it needs, and how the organisation keeps responsibility when the route through the work changes.
My focus is enterprise architecture, AI strategy and governance architecture. The useful starting point is often one consequential decision, one cross-system handoff or one pilot whose path into operation is still unclear.
An architecture review before the next commitment
A proposed agent architecture can look convincing while leaving basic questions open. Who may approve an action? Which record is authoritative? What happens if a tool succeeds but its reply never arrives?
In a focused review, we can examine those boundaries together. Depending on the agreed scope, possible outputs include an annotated architecture, a decision-rights map, prioritised risks and an implementation handoff with the questions your teams need to resolve.
A governance operating-model workshop
A policy becomes useful when people and systems know what it changes in their work. This format brings the relevant business, architecture and governance perspectives together around a specific case.
We can work through responsibilities, permissions, evidence requirements, exceptions and recovery. Possible outputs include a shared account of the operating model, unresolved decisions with owners, and a bounded next step for implementation or evaluation.
An executive briefing on AI choices
For leaders deciding where to invest or how much autonomy to delegate, I can develop a briefing around your decision. Topics may include the difference between a workflow and an adaptive agent, the architecture behind governed autonomy, and what evidence a pilot needs before its responsibilities expand.
The intended result is a clearer decision: the options, assumptions, consequences and evidence still needed. The audience and scope shape the format.
Start with the decision you need to make
Tell me which decision is approaching, who is involved and what makes it difficult. A short outline of the current system or pilot is useful if you have one. We can then discuss whether a focused advisory engagement fits.
